Ensuring the Future of Food

This video by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan discusses the problems with a globalized agriculture. A government produced PSA that looks like a wacky video game. You have to love the Japanese -- can you imagine how hard it would be for the USDA to release a video like this?

A few days ago, my friend Andy and I stopped at Nature Mart in Los Feliz. We had just finished playing tennis and I had worked up a good sweat. Andy was getting his usual coconut drink, while I waited outside with some over priced odwalla-type-thing.

You could imagine my surprise when I noticed a german shepherd and a husky parking a Jaguar:
