So, I've been watching a lot of old finals games and playoff games featuring the Chicago Bulls from the 1990's. It made me think about how difficult it must be for parents to buy kids sneakers, because I remember that the more expensive ones always felt like a better fit to me. I don't think I was consciously trying to mislead my folks, I just think that the effect of the marketing was way to strong for a kid to escape. (Tell me you didn't deeply believe that a pair of Reebok dunks just might get you above the rim.)
If I ever have kids, they're wearing a blindfold when we shop for shoes.
